de las Casas, Chiapas, last August 18, 2007 as part of
the Sexta Muestra Fotográfica organized
by the group Fotógrafos Independientes.
Also, last August 18, Nadia Baram, picture editor for zonezero.com, made a portfolio
review as part of the same event. |

LOOK
'07 was the name of the conference organized
by Red Eye in Manchester UK. As part of the event there was a Symposium
titled "The Democratic Image: Photography and Globalisation." Pedro
delivered a top key note speech on the subject.

The Pedro
Meyer Foundation is born. On March 15, 2007
the Pedro
Meyer Foundation was established. One of the Foundation's
main objectives is to promote and recognize both photographers
and those working on the photography & imaging industry (such
as editors, historians, photo critics) particularly but not exclusively
in Mexico. One of its other objectives is to provide means and
resources to allow for the continuation of zonezero.com.
The board of the Foundation is conformed by Rubén Aguilar
Valenzuela, Rubén Aguilar Monteverde, Pablo Meyer, Julieta
Giménez Cacho, Rogelio Villarreal, Bruno Newman, Francisco
Mata Rosas, Nadia Baram, and Juan Manuel López Garduño. |
